Success story: Eaton uses thermography in its personnel access
The American multinational EATON established in its access protocol the detection of elevated body temperature (EST) through the use of the advanced bcbTempScan® software based on FLIR IR technology.
As part of the return to work after the isolation strategy to contain Covid-19, the Eaton company established the mandatory measurement of body temperature within the procedure for the entry of personnel and visitors.
After the imprecision of the results obtained by using infrared gun thermometers, it was decided to implement a system in accordance with the ISO / TR 13154 and IEC 80601-2-59 protocols and that would allow, in addition to measuring personnel, their registration in an internal log. Said needs were met by the multifunctionality of the bcbTempScan® system, which can also be adapted to additional requirements such as RFID, barcode or QR credential reading.
