Increasing safety at level crossings by incorporating thermal imaging cameras
Thermographic monitoring adds an additional security component by allowing the risk zone to be monitored using one or more thermal imaging cameras that detect any object whose temperature is slightly different from the environment and send an alarm signal to prevent a possible run-over by the train.
The bcbMonitor software application, developed entirely by bcb, is in charge of controlling the thermal imaging cameras and processing the images to detect anomalous temperatures in the systems. It allows you to define multiple regions of interest (ROIs) and follow them throughout the process.
