Application Note – Colima
Thermographic study and monitoring of volcanoes
The University of Colima in Mexico extends its studies of visual monitoring of the Colima Volcano through the use of FLIR's most advanced infrared technology.
With continuous and online inspection of thermography using FLIR thermal imaging cameras, you can continuously verify the thermal changes that the earth's crust undergoes due to activity inside the volcano, recording the temperature data and images that show us the evolution and the areas with the highest concentration of heat, which allow to identify more precisely active areas.
Together with the fixed IR cameras, the bcbMonitor is the most advanced volcanic monitoring tool available today.
